Vineeta Chaudhary of Ghaziabad was washed away in a strong current of water in Brahmaganga drain due to sudden cloudburst in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday. Vinita had put her life at stake to save 30 tourists sleeping in the camping site (tent). All the tourists were taken to a safe place, but she herself went to death. Kullu SP has confirmed Vinita’s drowning. Rescue teams are trying to find him. The family has also left for Kullu from Ghaziabad.

The resort was running in partnership
25-year-old Vinita Chaudhary was a resident of Nistauli village of Loni area in Ghaziabad. She used to run a resort named Kasaul Heights in Parvati Valley of Kullu district in partnership with a man named Arjun. She was working as a manager at the camping site of this resort. On June 25, Vinita had gone to Kullu from home.

The last time the family members spoke to Vineeta on July 27. Vinita was preparing for DSSB (Delhi Subordinate Selection Board). The date of paper was fixed on August 2, so on July 28, she was going to return home in Ghaziabad.

Tents shed, heavy damage to the resort
According to the information, on Wednesday morning, Vineeta was walking at her camping site. During this, after the cloudburst, there was a sudden flow of water in the Brahmaganga drain. Seeing this, he raised a noise to cover the camping site. At that time 30 tourists were sleeping in the tent, including business partner Arjun.

Vinita picks up Arjun and the tourists and starts efforts to send them to a safe place. Soon the water from the drain engulfed the four tents of the camping site. Vinita took everyone out, but got swept away in the strong current. The resort also suffered heavy damage in this accident. Arjun got injured after being hit by the debris. He is undergoing treatment.

Family leaves for Kullu
Kullu SP Gurdev Sharma said that a total of three people, including one Vinita, were washed away in the floods in the Brahmaganga drain of Manikaran valley. The other two persons are from Brahmaganga. The search is on for the missing persons by the rescue team. Here, her family members have left for Kullu as soon as the news of Vineeta’s death comes.
