Ramesh Bais, who was a seven-time MP from Raipur parliamentary seat in Chhattisgarh, will now be the governor of the neighboring state of Jharkhand. Bais, who was the Governor of Tripura for two years, has been given a new appointment by the President. Now he will be the constitutional head of government in Jharkhand with the same socio-economic conditions as Chhattisgarh. Dainik Bhaskar asked in a conversation held at his Raipur residence that it would have some effect on the local politics of Chhattisgarh? So he replied – Can’t say anything about this. What will happen next, no one knows the future.

Responding to a question about the responsibility of the Governor of a state like Tripura first and then Jharkhand after a long political innings, Ramesh Bais said, “At first it was felt that what is the difference between political and constitutional work. Work in Tripura for two years. After doing this, I have come to know about the constitutional post. On the basis of the experiences there, we will do better work in Jharkhand than that. I am sure that Jharkhand should be developed in collaboration with the state government, more by worrying about the development of its tribals. We will develop by taking more and more central government schemes.”

Governor Ramesh Bais has come to his house in Raipur from Tripura two days ago. He told, before being removed from Tripura and sent to Jharkhand, the central government did not talk to him. They didn’t even know about it. The schedule of going to Jharkhand has not been decided yet. It will be decided soon.

On the question related to the challenges of non-BJP ruled Jharkhand, Governor Ramesh Bais said, I have not gone there yet, so I do not know what are the circumstances. But, I don’t think there will be any problem in the role of a governor. Will sit and work with the Chief Minister. He will cooperate with us, we will cooperate with him. Every government would like it, every chief minister would like to live with the governor, if they work, the state will develop. Everyone would like that there should be development.

Was sent to Raj Bhavan in 2019
Ramesh Bais, born on 2 August 1948 in Raipur, reached Parliament for the first time in 1989. Since then he continued to represent Raipur till 2019. He was made the Minister of Forest and Environment in the government of Atal Vihari Vajpayee. Before 2014, he was the chief whip of the BJP in the Lok Sabha. In 2019, BJP cut his ticket. His supporters created a lot of ruckus about this. Be calm. In July 2019, the President sent him to the Raj Bhavan in Tripura. In this way the role of BJP veteran Ramesh Bais in parliamentary politics changed. On 29 July 2019, he took over as the Governor of Tripura, replacing Kaptan Singh Solanki.
