The corporation administration claims that about 50 percent of the people living in the colony have left their homes due to the strictness of the police administration. On the other hand, the affected people say that the people here have only shifted the goods. But living and sleeping is still happening in the colony. He will not go anywhere unless the government makes arrangements for rehabilitation. On the other hand, as per the order of the court, the corporation has only one week left. In such a situation, demolition of entire houses is a big challenge.

It should be noted that since 1992, the forest area has been declared under sections 4 and 5 of the Punjab Land Preservation Act 1900. It is illegal to build or buy and sell any kind of land on this land. If anyone tries to take possession of the said land, legal action will be taken against him.

Demolition action possible from Monday
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Garima Mittal says that the administration is fully prepared to sabotage on the orders of the court. Officers’ meetings are being held regularly. The strategy has been made. He indicated that the demolition action could start in the colony from Monday. He said that all necessary resources have been called for action. If needed, sabotage action will be taken by calling for more resources.
