The Special Court of Prevention of Money Laundering Act has issued arrest warrants against the accused Dagar Katyal in the case of wrongful allotment of 14 industrial plots in Panchkula. Special Court Judge Dr. Sushil Kumar Garg has asked the Investigating Officer of the police to appear himself in the court on the next date.

The matter will be heard on July 13. The accused is not appearing in the court for a long time. Last month also, the court had issued non bailable warrants against him. Summons were sent to his house in Sector-6, Panchkula, but he is not staying at that address for a long time. Apart from him, another accused Siddharth Bhardwaj is also not appearing in the court and the court has also issued non bailable warrants against him.

In this case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed a chargesheet against 22 people, including former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, three months ago. During the arguments, Special Public Prosecutor Savita Chaudhary, appearing for the ED, said that the accused was deliberately avoiding appearance.

According to the allegation, Dagar was allotted a plot of 496 square meters in Panchkula Industrial Area. This allotment was done through the wrong process. Due to the connivance of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) officials, instead of eligible people, plots were allotted to the government’s favorites at a price 8 times less than the market rate.

this is the case

On 19 December 2015, the State Vigilance Bureau Haryana had registered a case after investigating the irregularities in the allotment of industrial plots in Panchkula. Later on May 19, 2016, the case was transferred to the CBI and the CBI registered a case against the former chairman of HUDA and other officers under the Fraud and Prevention of Corruption Act.
