Preparation for third wave: In Jharkhand, more than 300 beds for children are almost ready, CM Hemant Soren himself is monitoring the preparations

Keeping in mind that there should be no second wave of corona in Jharkhand, the government is making elaborate preparations to prevent the third wave. More than 300 beds have been prepared for children in the state. The CM himself is monitoring the entire preparations. According to the Health Department, a 27-bed PICU ward has been completed in Ranchi. Work is going on for 40 more PICU beds.

The work of development of 30 PICU beds in East Singhbhum is in progress. A 20 bedded PICU facility has been completed in Koderma district. A 130-bedded Facility Children’s Ward is being developed at various CHCs and Sadar Hospitals in Giridih and Hazaribagh districts. The work of more than 70 PICU beds in Dhanbad and Khunti is nearing completion.

Television sets are being installed for a stress free environment for the children. The corridors of the hospital’s courtyards and wards are being made accessible to the children.

There is no problem in rural areas, so CHC is being made convenient
PICUs are being developed in all the Sadar Hospitals and some CHCs in the state so that the infected patients in rural areas can get better treatment near their villages free of cost. Dedicated child ward is being developed in addition to the general child ward in all the districts. Ventilators, Pediatric Ventilators, Bubble CPAP, Radiant Warmers, Oxygen Supply Facility and other necessary equipment are being equipped for the treatment of infants.

Ward is being prepared child friendly
Special attention is being paid to creating child friendly wards to create a comfortable environment for the children. Different types of child friendly painting are being done in PICU wards. The curtains, sheets and covers used in PICU wards are colorful and attractively designed to create a comfortable environment for the children.

Care has also been taken for the entertainment of children in the ward.
