There are total 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. In the state, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar’s NCP and Congress are together under the Mahavikas Aghadi Alliance. An agreement has been reached on 40% between the three parties. The matter is stuck on 8 seats.

Of these, six seats are from Mumbai. If sources are to be believed, Congress wants to contest elections on three out of six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai. This includes Mumbai South Central, Mumbai North Central and Mumbai North West.

However, Uddhav Thackeray wants to contest elections on a total of 18 seats, of which four are from Mumbai. These include Mumbai South, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East and Mumbai South Central.
