Eight people, including the third SHO, Balaji Rajhans, were injured in a horrific road accident in NH-333 near Auraiya village of Sano police station area of Jamui, Bihar. Among the injured, three police station trainee Darega Mahavir Pradhan, jawan Nepal Mahte, female watchman Jaya Devi, police station’s private driver Chhotu Nishad, Yagendra Kumar and other accused were injured. All are being treated at Jamui Sadar Hospital. It is said that the third police arrested Gaurav Kumar, son of Shiva Sao, a resident of Lodna, in the case of motorcycle theft.
During interrogation, Gaurav had revealed that Randhir Kumar of Hajipur was also involved in this case. After this, the police team along with the third SHO went to raid Hajipur in Bihar, taking Gaurav with them. On the behest of Gaurav, Randhir was arrested by the police in Hajipur. Then the police team including Gaurav and Randhir from a Scorpio was returning back to the third. In this sequence, his Scorpio collided with a truck parked near Auraiya village of Jamui. In the collision, the front part of the Scorpio was blown off. The policeman’s left leg was broken. Other policemen including both the accused were also seriously injured.
