After this angry people Additional Commissioner Dr. Met Vaishali Sharma and gave him a one day ultimatum citing the problem. People warned that if water is not available then people will be forced to agitate by taking to the streets.

According to the information, some work of HSVP and Irrigation Department is going on near Greater Faridabad Palvali village. During the negligence of the contractor, line number five of Raniwell broke down. But the municipal administration neither informed the people about this nor made any alternative arrangement for water. The officials of the municipal corporation also did not think it appropriate to tell when the problem of water would be fixed. This angered the people.

BJP councilor Ajay Baisla said that in his ward, Sector 28, 29, 30, 31, IP Colony, Springfield Colony, Etmadpur, Ashoka Enclave, Sector 37, Green Field Colony etc. have a population of more than 1.5 lakh. In the scorching heat, people are not getting even a drop of drinking water from Raniwell. Under compulsion, people are working by buying water from private tankers. Baisla said that the higher officials of the corporation were informed about this, but the officers and employees kept on pretending to bring the goods and fix them. Five days passed in this pretext.

Hundreds of people affected by water reached the corporation headquarters under the leadership of councilor Ajay Baisla and wanted to meet Chief Engineer Ramjilal. But he was not present in the office. Seeing the anger of the people, the employees working in the Chief Engineer’s office ran out one by one. When the clerk in the back room asked Anil Kumar the mobile number of the Chief Engineer, he could not tell the number. Due to this, people became more angry and made a ruckus and threw the clerk out.

So from where are the private tankers getting water? Even after calling the corporation, water is not being delivered through tankers. Private tankers have looted. Water has to be given from 15 hundred to 2 thousand rupees.

One day ultimatum, followed by agitation

People met Additional Commissioner Dr. Vaishali Sharma and gave a one-day ultimatum and asked them to provide water at the earliest. After this, people took off on the road and threatened to agitate. BJP councilor Ajay Baisla accused the officers of being negligent and said in a warning tone that if the officers do not improve, now they will also be treated. On the other hand, Raniwell XEN Madanlal Sharma said that the work of repairing the line has been started. Proper water supply will start by Saturday evening.
