In the investigation of 6 lakh samples so far in Dhanbad, the report of 18234 came positive.

  • Where did you go after giving the sample, whether the treatment was done or not, how many were infected … did not get the answers to these questions

Samples of a total of 18234 people were found positive in Dhanbad district, including the waves of Kareena. Out of them, 16396 infected have been identified and treated in hospitals or home isolation. But, the surprising thing is that 1838 infections could not be detected. The first case of Karena came to light in Dhanbad on 16 April 2020. Since then, continuous investigation is being done till now. Patients were met every month.

In the first wave, in August and September of the year 2020, during the second wave in April and May of 2021, thousands of people got infected. Those who were identified were treated. According to the official figures of the Health Department, 379 people died of Karena infection. But the 1838 infected, whose health department and administration could not find, where they went, whether they were treated or not, how many others they would have infected, the answers to this question can hardly be found. However, the IDSP says that all efforts were made to contact tracing.

The address was told, the person by that name was not found there.

Rajkumar, the nodal officer of IDSP, says that most of the infected people who could not be traced, had entered the wrong name, phone number and address while conducting the Kovid test. When the report came positive, a call was made to his number and his address was checked, but he could not be traced. In many cases the address turned out to be correct, but no person by that name was found there.
